Jenisha McDonald

Manager, Communications and Training

Jenisha McDonald joined the College Prep Program in June 2023 as the Program Coordinator, where she was responsible for overseeing recruitment and events management. In this role, she organized internal and external events and supported marketing and communications efforts. As of January 2024, Jenisha has transitioned to the position of Program Manager, focusing on Communication and Training. In her current role, she manages the hiring, training, and supervision of graduate fellows and undergraduate program assistants, leads CPP communications, and monitors data tracking for the program.

Jenisha also served on the board of Brownpreneurs, a local non-profit that provides entrepreneurial training to high school and college students of color in Greater St. Louis. During her tenure, she contributed to program rollout, organizational promotion, and workshop facilitation.

Born and raised in Florissant, MO, Jenisha attended K-12 in the Hazelwood School District. She earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with an emphasis in Management from the University of Missouri-St. Louis. As an undergraduate, Jenisha was a Katherine Dunham Fellow at the Arts and Education Council in 2019. This role allowed her to gain comprehensive experience across various departments: grants and programs, marketing, funding and development, operations, and accounting. This experience solidified her decision to pursue a career in the non-profit sector and deepened her commitment to serving others.

Jenisha is excited to work with scholars and their families to provide them with the resources and support needed for their academic and personal growth.
