MacKenzie Gleason

Program Coordinator - Administration, Communication, & Events

MacKenzie Gleason joined the College Prep Program in December 2020, beginning as a Graduate Fellow and transitioning into the Program Coordinator role in May 2022. In this role, she oversees all College Prep related administrative work and communications, as well as planning and executing CPP events like Summer Academy.

MacKenzie was born and raised in the city of Chicago, IL where she attended various Chicago Public Schools for her K-12 education. She earned a Bachelor’s in Educational Studies and Religious Studies with a minor in French from WashU in 2018. MacKenzie also earned a Master’s degree in Social Work at the Brown School at WashU in 2022. MacKenzie has worked as a Teaching Assistant and a Campus Life Advisor at WashU, and she even served as a College Adviser with the College Advising Corps, where she worked to provide college and career access to students at Maplewood Richmond Heights High School.

In her free time, MacKenzie enjoys watching movies, binge-watching TV series, traveling (when there’s not a pandemic, of course), listening to music, and hanging out with friends. She is excited to act on her passion of disrupting educational inequities by increasing college access in the St. Louis area through the College Prep Program. MacKenzie is very excited about her transition from the Graduate Fellow role to the role of Program Coordinator – Administration, Communication, and Events, where she will continue to work with our wonderful scholars and CPP team!
